What is Culex?

How is it used?
Culex is the tokenized representation of interest, effort, and time that our community spends engaging with our content. Our goal is to increase visibility to all aspects of outdoor past times. We believe the subject matter of Mosquitland is not only valuable in the real world, but also critical to giving people exposure to these things and ensuring that camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, public access to wildlife resources, conservation, and everything in between, don't go away forever. Why Polygon instead of other blockchains?
We have followed Polygon(Matic), and as importantly, Ethereum, since their inception. We have a lot of faith in both teams and both projects, and always have. Over the years, we have also used Ethereum and Matic in real-world transactions more than any other cryptographic asset there is.
Simply put, the main reasons we are using the Polygon blockchain is: it's secure, cheap, fast, and has a very large development community with multiple successful projects already live. Speed and Cost are important to us as we regularly send out assets to users.
The native token, Matic, is also widely available.
Why is the icon a Mosquito?
Because mosquitos are everywhere except Antarctica. They are obviously the most appropriate ambasadeurs for any and everything that happens outside. Mequitoland is our own little special name for the outdoors. If you are outside, you're in Mequitoland.
